The Apostle Peter commands the pastoral leaders of the church to “shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not under compulsion, but willingly, according to God; and not for dishonest gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to you, but being examples to the flock” (1 Pet 5:2-3). The counseling ministry at CCT is a discipleship ministry, offering biblical counseling to those seeking God’s answers to the questions and problems in their lives.
As the name implies, our counseling is based upon the Bible. We believe that the principles of the Bible properly understood and faithfully applied provide the Christian with all they need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3; 2 Timothy 3:16-17), and to please the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:9-10; Ephesians 5:8-10).
We further believe that biblical counseling is to be conducted by biblically equipped shepherds within the context of a Christian’s local church. As such, we prioritize our efforts in support of those who regularly attend CCT. We will selectively accept counseling cases originating from our members’ referrals if time and qualified resources are available.
