2024 CCT Bible Reading Plan (NT, Psalms, Proverbs)

As we embark upon a new year together, I want to challenge all of you to commit yourself to a Bible reading plan. Psalm 1:1-3 tells us that the “happiest place on earth” is to meditate on the word of God, day and night. As Joshua took over leadership of the nation of Israel he was encouraged with these words recorded in Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for you then will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

In the New Testament, Peter tells us that Scripture is sufficient for our life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). In short, if we hope to live a life pleasing to God, we must commit ourselves to the daily intake of the Bible and we must, like newborn babies, crave the pure milk of the word (1 Peter 2:2).Will you join me, or Katie’s reading accountability group, in accepting the challenge to faithfully follow the Bible reading plan listed below for 2024?
